At Heathfield we place value on the views of our stakeholders; especially our parents and children.
Each term we conduct a questionnaire for parents, children or staff across school to allow them opportunities to let us know how we are doing. We believe that by working in partnership, Heathfield will continue to achieve its Aims and Vision.
Here are some recent changes made as a result of the feedback received:
|You Said||We Did|
|You wanted your children who read more than 3 times a week to be recognised for their effort.||We have created the ‘Above and Beyond’ reading card for them to record their achievements.|
|You said you wanted information on how to support reading and writing in EYFS||We have run a number of successful reading and writing workshops to model how to work with your child at home.|
We have also provided a link to Oxford Owl at Home website which has free ebooks and tips for supporting your child at home (simple log-in needed)
|You wanted more afterschool clubs for your child||There is a full programme of afterschool clubs which vary from multi-sports to choir. Keep looking on the newsletter for new clubs each half term.|
|You wanted to be able to find out how your child was getting on in school||We have regular parent workshops and a termly parents’ evening. |
Teachers make themselves available at the beginning or end of the day.
Teachers are happy to make separate appointments to meet you at a convenient time. – use the enquiry forms at the office.
|You wanted more regular feedback regarding your child’s behaviour||At Kersall Drive we continue to use our coloured slip system which is effective in informing parents about how your child’s day has been. Special green or yellow slips are positive reinforcement of the good learning and behaviour seen in school.|
