Heathfield offers residential opportunities for all children from Year 1 to Year 6.

Late Night

Although not quite a residential away from home, we give our year 1 children the opportunity to stay at school later into the evening to roast marshmallows, create glow in the dark art and shadow puppets, paint their faces and have a glow stick disco!

Wheelgate and Sherwood Forest

Children in Years 2  can join a 1 night stay at at the Youth Hostel Association centre in Sherwood Forest.  The children enjoy a visit to Wheelgate theme park as well as a walk in the forest.

School Sleepover

Year 3 children can spend a night under canvas at school, building friendships and keeping the teachers up all night!  If the weather is good they will be in tents outside.  If the weather is wet they will pitch the tents in the hall.

Haggs Farm

Children in Year 4  can seek adventure at Hagg Farm in. the Peak District where they get to exprerience a range of outdoor activities.

School Sleepover

Children in Year 5 can take part in an overnight camp in school whilst learning some key survival skills.

London

Our Year 6 children spend three days in London exploring our capital city. During the visit the they have a trip on the London Eye, enjoy a cruise on the Thames, visit the Science and Natural History museums and see some of the city’s most famous sights.
